Generac 6602 OneWash Pressure Washer Review
When it comes to power tools that people want, Generac has a place in their hearts. This is because the Generac name stands for quality and it really does not matter what type of product you are considering. For that reason, there are also a lot of people now choosing to have a Generac pressure washer. To see if it could be the one you have been searching for; you should take a look at our Generac OneWash review.
Features of the Generac OneWash
The OneWash is a very powerful, gas powered pressure washer. It offers 3,100 PSI thanks to the Generac 212cc OHV engine. This engine type is rated one of the largest, most powerful engines available in its class.
This machine comes with a high-pressure hose that extends your reach for up to 30ft from it. This enables you to move around freely and leave the machine sitting aside. You will not have to touch it until you are ready to move to another area.
It features a 4-in-1 PowerDial variable pressure control. This means you can easily adjust the intensity of the spray so that you can clean a wider range of surfaces with one single machine. You can switch from washing down the heavily soiled driveway to washing the car with only a slight adjustment and all controls are located in a single location on the consolidated control panel.
It includes three quick change nozzle tips. You will get the soap tip, the zero-degree tip, and the 25-degree tip with your purchase. The tips will store on the pressure washer when they are not in use.
The OneWash uses only 2.8 GPM. This means that it does use more water than some other pressure washers, but that also means you get finished cleaning faster than ever before.
The Axial Cam Pump is within an easy access area so that you can connect your hose without hassle. There is also an integrated detergent tank that you can drain when not in use. This is also easily accessible.
Included with your purchase, you will receive an ergonomic spray gun. This gun has a comfort grip handle to ensure that no matter how much time you spend cleaning, you will not have a lot of trigger fatigue.
The size of the OneWash may be an issue for some people. It is heavy at 68.5 pounds. It is also a large machine at 39.5 x 21 x 20.6 inches. However, to make it more compact, there is a folding handle on this machine and it will move around easily when you tilt it backward and roll it on two wheels.
Generac does provide a 2-year limited warranty on the OneWash. This warranty protects you from manufacturer defaults, but not from defaults that you may cause.
Buyer’s Feedback on the OneWash
This pressure washer is given a 5-star rating by a lot of people who decided to give it a try. Most owners say that it is a great machine and that it performs extremely well. They are happy with the way it cleans, the ease of use, and its versatility. There are people who say that it is exactly what they were expecting and hoping for when they made their purchase. They say that shipping is fast and there are even a few who say that customer service was very helpful during times when they were having trouble. However, there are also people who say that it does have a lot of power and you may need to practice a little to ensure that you do not end up causing damage to your personal items.
There are also people who say that they were not happy with their buying experience. A few have had issues with the machine from day one and some left a negative review because their machine broke down well after the warranty coverage expired. One of the biggest things that people mention having issues with is the hose. It may eventually bust so that you will have to replace it. Beyond that, you also have people who feel that the pull handle is in a weird place for them to be able to get it started on the first try. This is a user preference and most all other reviewers do not seem to mind the location of the pull handle because they simply enjoy how well it works.
Our Opinion of the OneWash by Generac
In some ways, the rating on this machine does not do it justice. The issues that most people have with it are not issues that we consider horrible. If a machine breaks after two years, it isn’t great, but it is not always the fault of the product or the company. If you do not like where the pull cord is; that isn’t a reason to give it a low rating. It simply means you do not like its position. We personally see it as a very powerful cleaning machine that has the ability to get the job done, regardless of how big or small your project is. We like that it can deep clean virtually anything and switch from a high PSI to a lower one with just the turn of a dial. We also like that it has a detergent holder built-in so that you do not have to carry around a soap bucket. It is a gas-powered pressure washer and we feel that is perfect for some people who may not have a power supply close by. With that being said, gas means more power and with that, you must also be careful when using it so that you do not end up damaging anything, including yourself. Gas also means that you will have to work a little to maintain it or you will be disappointed when it stops performing the way you want it too. Overall, we feel it is worth considering, especially if you have a lot of heavy-duty cleaning to deal with.
